Healthy Living at Home - Arizona, LLC is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Receptionist in Scottsdale, AZ for our Home Health agency.
Position Overview
The Receptionist coordinates and assists the Clinical Director and Director of Patient Care Services in maintaining clerical functions in the office.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides assistance to the Executive Director/Administrator, maintaining confidentiality and organization of files and supplies.
- Handles correspondence and word processing for the organization.
- Maintains minutes of meetings.
- Answers telephone inquiries and channels them appropriately.
- Maintains administrative and clerical files.
- Files clinical notes after recording on the “Weekly Ledger” sheet.
- Ensures all doctor’s order forms are current and compliant with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, updating forms as needed.
- Keeps Medicare and Medicaid manuals up-to-date.
- Sends doctor’s orders to physicians for signatures and maintains a log of sent documents.
- Purchases and maintains postage supplies.
- Closes out patient’s clinical record upon discharge.
- Maintains current patient statistics using the Management Information System.
- Maintains ledger cards for all admitted patients.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in a receptionist role, preferably in healthcare.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Proficient in word processing and computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and business machines.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or two-year business college degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
Role involves standing, sitting, walking, and occasionally kneeling, stooping, or reaching. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs on occasion. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
