A leading engineering services firm is seeking a Regional Director to lead operations, project execution, and client engagement across the Northeast utility market. This Boston-based leadership role is ideal for a results-driven professional with experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and utility infrastructure programs from Maine to New York.

About the Role:

As a Regional Director, you will oversee a high-performing regional team delivering engineering and program management services across civil, electrical, mechanical, and process disciplines. You’ll manage project execution, client relationships, staffing, safety, and business growth—while working cross-functionally with executive leadership and regional offices nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a regional team of engineers, designers, drafters, and project managers in executing utility and infrastructure projects
• Report on office performance, financials, staffing, and project metrics to executive leadership
• Ensure compliance with local safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all projects
• Collaborate on regional resource planning and staffing strategies
• Oversee and maintain strong relationships with existing utility clients; identify and develop new business opportunities
• Shape and implement a regional business development strategy targeting growth from Maine to New York
• Partner with other regional and national leaders to share resources, expertise, and market intelligence
• Develop internal training plans, performance feedback structures, and team development frameworks
• Maintain a high-functioning and inclusive work environment focused on operational excellence
• Review and authorize regional contracts, purchase orders, invoicing, and seconded personnel budgets
• Maintain minimum 75% billability through active project involvement and leadership

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field (required)
• 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years in utility, infrastructure, or energy-related projects
• Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with regional utility markets and clients in the Boston area and Northeast corridor
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) and/or PMP certification (preferred)
• Strong business development, leadership, and operational management skills

• Ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Work Location & Schedule:

• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the Westborough, MA office
• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week
