Role Overview:
The Regional Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in driving Highstreet’s strategic HR initiatives and supporting leaders and employees across the Northeast region. This position is designed for a seasoned HR professional with expertise in employee relations, performance management, and the implementation of standardized HR processes that enhance business outcomes.
Serving as a trusted advisor, the HRBP will work closely with management teams to address workplace challenges, provide guidance on HR policies, and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals. This role will act as the first point of contact for managers, fostering strong relationships and a collaborative workplace environment while ensuring HR practices are consistent, compliant, and effective.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the HRBP will be integral to promoting Highstreet’s culture of trust, engagement, and innovation. This role will lead initiatives to improve employee experience, resolve complex HR issues, and implement systems that drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, an ability to navigate sensitive employee matters with discretion, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Coach
Mentor and coach other HR team members in the region as needed.
Standardizing HR Processes
Execute the rollout of standardized HR lifecycle processes, including employee integration, performance reviews, and offboarding. Ensure the consistent application of HR policies and practices across the organization while managing change effectively to support smooth transitions and adoption.
Employee Relations
Serve as a primary contact for managers and employees on HR matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution of employee relations issues. Foster a positive workplace culture that supports engagement, inclusivity, and productivity. Document and track employee relations issues in identified tool.
Talent Management
Create offer letters and employment agreements. Oversee the full onboarding and offboarding processes for employees in the region, ensuring a seamless experience.
Manager Support and Consultation
Provide training, resources, and coaching to managers to improve leadership capabilities and address HR-related challenges. Collaborate with leadership to identify and address team needs proactively, guide managers on HR best practices and workforce management strategies. Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing consultative support and influencing leadership decisions through data-driven insights.
Performance Management
Partner with managers to set clear, measurable performance goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Guide managers in delivering constructive feedback and conducting meaningful performance discussions to foster growth and accountability. Provide tools and training to enhance the effectiveness of performance reviews, ensuring a consistent and equitable approach. Support managers in navigating complex performance issues, including the creation and execution of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure that all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including employment law, labor relations, and company policies.
Metrics & Reporting
Monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and analyze performance trends.
Experience
Required Skills & Qualifications
7-10 years of progressive experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations and HR business partnering. Proven track record in implementing HR processes in a dynamic, multi-state environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Skills
Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and compliance standards. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build trust and influence leaders at all levels of the organization. Experience with HR technology systems and HR analytics is a plus.
