Assistant General Counsel - IP and Technology Transactions

This role involves drafting and negotiating agreements related to intellectual property, technology licensing, data privacy, and commercial transactions. The candidate will provide strategic legal counsel, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating SaaS subscription agreements, software licenses, technology partnerships, IP licensing, and data processing agreements.
- Providing guidance on IP protection, enforcement, and commercialization strategies.
- Supporting development and licensing of technology and IP assets.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Providing legal support on SaaS offerings, technology transactions, and general business operations.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
- 5+ years of legal experience in SaaS, technology transactions, and IP.
- Strong understanding of software licensing, open source, cloud computing, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in AI, international data privacy regulations, and relevant privacy certifications like CIPP/US.
