A brand-new Ambulance Bay and Emergency Department are set to open in late summer, complete with an on-site Ambulance Garage to support expanded services.Summary:Provides pre-hospital care per established protocols under the direction of the medical directorAssist with patient care in the Emergency Department within established guidelines/policies, within other hospital departments as priorities allow, and with special projects as assignedProvides direct patient care during transport of patients and guided by protocols or direct medical controlDelivers care to patients of all ages and includes inpatient, outpatients, and those at offsite locationsRequirements:Iowa EMS certification level of Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic, or RN Equivalent with critical care practiceValid Iowa Drivers LicenseBLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS or TNCC, AMLS, Hazmat Ops, ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800, NCI or willing to obtain within 6 months after hire2 years critical care or EMS experience preferredCritical Care endorsement preferredSchedule:Full-time, 60 hours per pay period12 hr day/night shiftsVariable 2-3 shifts per weekHoliday rotationSpencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees.
