Job Summary: The Restaurant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the restaurant’s facilities, equipment, and systems are operating efficiently and effectively. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both staff and patrons for all of our locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment, including kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems.
- Repairs: Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment, including but not limited to refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and lighting fixtures.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and standards. Address potential safety hazards and report them to management.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with restaurant systems and equipment, providing timely solutions to minimize operational downtime.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools. Order replacement parts and materials as needed.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Report significant issues to management and suggest improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant staff and management to coordinate maintenance activities, minimize disruption to restaurant operations, and address any immediate concerns.
Qualifications:
- Must have active Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Experience: Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and management effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to performing high-quality work.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing fields are desirable but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
- Capability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including kitchens and outdoor areas.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
