Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing sales performance, supporting field incentive compensation programs, and delivering insightful reporting to drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with pharmaceutical sales data, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role will be based out of our Deer Park, IL office and is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days a week onsite. This position will report to SVP, Commercial Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Analysis & Insights
- Analyze sales data from multiple sources (IQVIA, CRM, SPs, etc.) to track performance trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide actionable insights on market dynamics, product performance, and sales effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain sales dashboards, scorecards, and ad-hoc reports for leadership and field teams.
- Support forecasting efforts by assessing historical data and market conditions.
- Enhance sales force targeting for optimal field team effectiveness.
Field Incentive Compensation Support
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining sales incentive compensation plans.
- Validate incentive calculations to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Support field sales teams by addressing inquiries related to incentive compensation and sales performance.
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to process payouts and ensure compliance with company policies.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Generate and distribute regular sales performance reports for sales leadership and field teams.
- Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline data visualization and accessibility.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining clean and structured datasets.
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to support strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales analysis, incentive compensation, or related functions in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry .
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA a plus).
- Experience with data visualization tools (QlikView, or similar).
- Familiarity with CRM and sales performance management software (Veeva, Salesforce, SAP, etc.).
- Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and propose effective solutions.
What We Offer:
Compensation for the role is targeted at $70,000 - $120,000. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors such as geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
