Sr. Financial Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves overseeing key financial processes and providing analytical insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, accounting, and tax compliance. Responsibilities: Manage the complete accounts receivable (AR) cycle, including billing, collections, credits, and account reconciliations. Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries for accounts such as deferred revenue, payroll, sales tax liabilities, bonuses, commissions, and accrued assets. Review and validate revenue recognition based on customer purchase orders, including discounts and unique shipping terms. Calculate, file, and remit sales, use, and property taxes across multiple states. Perform payroll reconciliations and journal entries for both domestic and international employees. Assist in forecasting and the annual budgeting process, providing detailed financial models to support decision-making. Develop and maintain weekly updates to the daily cash forecast. Administer equity grants on a quarterly basis as directed by the board. Track and calculate commissions for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Requirements: Proven experience in financial analysis and accounting practices. Proficiency in managing accounts receivable and full-cycle payroll processes. Strong knowledge of journal entries, month-end procedures, and accrual accounting. Familiarity with sales tax calculations and compliance across multiple states. Expertise in US GAAP standards and financial reporting. Skilled in data mining techniques and ad hoc financial analysis. Ability to create and analyze financial models to support strategic decisions. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
