Job Summary:
This role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for various positions including project managers, estimators, field staff, and home office staff. The Recruiter will collaborate closely with the talent manager to understand workforce needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from job description to onboarding (job description, job posting, sourcing, interviewing, etc).
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and industry events.
- Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and reference checks to assess candidates’ qualifications and cultural fit.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws in all recruitment activities.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and track recruitment metrics for reporting and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company at career fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the construction industry or a similar skilled-trades environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction job roles, skills, and industry trends.
- Excellent sourcing skills using platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and trade-specific job boards.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple job openings and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
