This hybrid contract recruiter will work with our Corporate HR Team to identify professional talent for openings for several locations throughout the United States. The successful candidate will utilize LinkedIn and other social media platforms to source candidates and coordinate the selection process. While the primary target will be technical positions, the successful candidate will need to have experience in sourcing professional candidates in several disciplines related to the automotive industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize social media and other resources to identify, screen, and coordinate the recruitment process, to source primarily exempt professional positions for the Farmington Hills Technical Center and related corporate groups or other locations.
• Create and place advertisements and manage social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
• Assist in the management and maintenance of our internal requisition and approval system (Workday).
• Post jobs, screen applications/resumes, schedule and conduct interviews with candidates.
• Work with hiring managers to identify necessary qualifications and recruiting strategies to fill open positions in a timely manner.
• Assist in the facilitation of our university outreach programs and partnerships.
• Set up and attend Career Fairs, technical workshops etc.
• Assists the HR department with various projects and special assignments as required.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience recruiting technical positions in automotive or related industries.
• Have an understanding of product design, development, production, and other related manufacturing processes and support related functions, i.e. IT, procurement, sales, etc.
• Experience utilizing social media platforms to source candidates, specifically the LinkedIn Recruiter function. Other related experience is a plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify and engage passive candidates.
• Understands the principles of behavior-based interviewing techniques.
• Ability to take ownership of their area of responsibility and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn HRIS systems.
• Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced work environment within the automotive or related industries.

Job level is determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

Working conditions:

Work Location: This role is primarily hybrid, based in either Farmington Hills, MI, or Greenfield, IN.

Travel: Occasional travel to other locations may be required

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Employment Status: The successful candidate will be considered an independent contractor (self-employed) and paid on an invoice basis for services rendered. Form 1099 will be provided for taxation purposes.
