Job Overview: Assist Russian and Ukrainian speaking patients to verify eligibility in grant programs and schedule appropriate appointments. Responsible for effective interaction among interdepartmental personnel, physicians, patients and family members, visitors, co-workers, supervisors, and representatives of community and business agencies to provide or obtain information. Required: Bachelor's degree required. Must be fluent in Russian/Ukrainian and English, with proficient reading, writing, and speaking skills in Russian/Ukrainian. Preferred: Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable. Schedule: This is a Per Diem position with varying hours and days. Flexible hours including outreach, education, and community events, some of which may occur on weekends. Essential Job Functions: Assist Russian/Ukrainian speaking patients with eligibility verification and appointment scheduling. Make reminder calls to patients prior to screenings to ensure attendance. Coordinate follow-up testing and serve as a navigator with MMC and other RWJBH hospitals. Organize patient schedules across teams and systems to ensure timely services. Support teams at other sites, travel to physician offices and departments for on-site language support and scheduling. Communicate with site managers regarding patient healthcare needs. Provide cross-coverage and support for other regional Chinese/Russian/Indian teams with community outreach. Assist in community event planning, promotion, and outreach via media and social media channels. Build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders, and participate in community events. Translate educational materials and communicate with vendors for event needs. Maintain organized paper and electronic files, and manage databases for program data collection and analysis. Organize and conduct health education programs in Russian/Ukrainian and English, providing translation as needed. Why Choose RWJBarnabas Health?
