Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program Director
at the
South College Asheville campus
for our
JRCDMS accredited program . We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organization skills. The Program Director, in conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for integrating all clinical education with didactic education. Responsible for overseeing the DMS program's structure and daily operations, including administration, evaluation, curriculum development, and overall effectiveness. Maintain the effectiveness of clinical affiliates/education centers and supervise the program's clinical component. Serve as a liaison between clinical agencies and the college, facilitating communication with Clinical Instructors and Coordinators. Collaborate with the Imaging Science Department Chair to review and update performance objectives for valid clinical learning experiences. Annual review of the Clinical Competency Manual and additional Policy Handbooks. Manage student data, analyze retention rates, credential pass rate, and employer/student surveys. Ensure program compliance with JRC-DMS standards. Perform other duties as expected of a Faculty Department Chair. Qualifications: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Credentials in good standing and maintain credentials throughout employment. Equivalent of two years’ full-time experience as a sonographer. Bachelor’s Degree Required. Master’s Degree Preferred. Benefits and Salary:
