Job Summary
This pool has been established to accept applications for possible openings for part-time instructors to teach this specific class in job success skills.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in business, business education, counseling or a related subject, plus a minimum of four years’ experience, OR a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform all aspects of the job.
- Demonstrated teaching or employee training experience in the instruction of employment skills and behaviors.
- Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires the ability to work with staff and students.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience at the post-secondary level or related experience, related office/business experience or training, experience in a self-paced lab environment is desirable.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards.
Responsibilities
- Assist students in developing long-term career plans.
- Instruction in accessing various job search resources, resume writing and pre-interview research skills.
- Assist students to prepare for interviews, including pre-interview research, use of good communication skills, appropriate apparel for the job, and professional demeanor or presentation.
- Develop mock interview scenarios and engage students in practice interviews opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students of diverse academic, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds, including students with disabilities.

Salary and Compensation Information
Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the payscale, with steps being “rolled” once per term.
As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit.
