The Job
Welcome to the FAO.abulous Boutique, which features customized handbags perfect for every little fashionista! The Handbag Specialist is responsible for guiding guests through the journey of selecting their own unique combinations to create a one-of-a-kind handbag. The Handbag Specialist is a motivated and enthusiastic team player who is passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience. This is a part-time position with scheduling needs across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do
Guest
§ Perform the experience consistently in line with established guidelines while adding your own individual flair to make each experience feel unique.
§ Build authentic connections with guests to build rapport and effectively guide them through the steps of service.
§ Be able to adapt your style to engage both children and adults as they visit us in the store.
§ Apply and adapt our selling vision to effectively handle more than one guest simultaneously without compromising the guest experience.
§ Demonstrate great selling techniques to meet or exceed sales goals and KPIs.
§ Be the expert in your area and ensure all information provided is accurate.
§ Use the FAO Schwarz selling vision to effectively engage and delight each guest.
§ Demonstrate product knowledge by introducing key items to guests based on your understanding of their needs.
Team
§ Make recommendations to evolve and innovate the experience to excite our guests.
§ Share expertise with colleagues to help elevate experiences for our guests.
§ Be a valued team member, assisting with administrative tasks and collaborating with your colleagues.
Store
§ Complete weekly assigned administrative tasks to ensure all experience supplies are available to fulfill guest orders.
§ Be able to flex outside assigned experience as needed to support the wider store.
§ Escalate any maintenance issues that may prevent delivering the experience as planned.
§ Maintain good understanding of store layout and local area to be able to effectively and accurately handle guest queries.
§ Handle POS transactions, adhering to policies and procedures to accurately process each transaction for the guest.
§ Demonstrate an understanding of basic merchandising principles in order to maintain the floor layout and planograms on a daily basis.
§ Support with stock refilling and other product tasks as needed.
What You Have
§ 1+ year experience in a fast-paced premium retail or experience-based environment.
§ A love of the FAO brand.
§ Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal ability.
§ An engaging and theatrical personality that can delight our guests.
§ Ability to remain positive and in character for extended periods of time without losing any of your magic.
§ Flexible availability in line with a Flagship Retail environment across days, evenings and weekends.
§ Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds, and bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time in all types of weather
