As a Sporting goods/Firearms Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in helping customers find the right firearms, ammunition, and accessories while ensuring compliance with all regulations. • Customer Assistance – Help customers choose the right firearms, ammunition, and accessories based on their needs and experience level.
• Sales & Service – Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and knowledgeable shopping experience.
• Compliance & Safety – Adhere to all federal, state, and local firearms regulations, including ATF requirements and NICS background check procedures.
• Transaction Processing – Accurately complete all required documentation for firearm sales and transfers.
• Product Knowledge – Stay up to date on firearm safety, industry trends, and new product releases.
• Inventory & Merchandising – Assist in maintaining a well-organized, clean, and properly stocked sporting goods section.

• Experience – Previous retail or firearms sales experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Legal Eligibility – Must be of legal age to sell firearms in Arizona and meet all state and federal requirements.
• Firearms Knowledge – Strong understanding of firearms, ammunition, and accessories, or willingness to learn.
• ATF Compliance – Ability to follow strict compliance procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure all sales meet legal requirements.
• NICS Process – Understanding of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) or willingness to learn.
• Computer Skills – Must be computer literate and able to learn software associated with firearm sales and compliance.
• Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills for assisting customers and completing records.
• Attention to Detail – Ability to accurately complete documentation and maintain compliance with all regulations.
• Physical Requirements – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Schedule Flexibility – Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
