Overview of the Role The Director, Category Management - IT Services and Operations Outsourcing is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the category and sourcing strategy for IT, Data, and Operations spend areas, overseeing an annual spend of over $100M. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities and experience managing large-scale IT and Business Process Outsourcing transformation programs. The position reports to the AVP, Category Lead for Professional Services and Claims. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for IT Services outsourcing that align with business objectives and drive value. Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business needs and define sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery. Partner with vendors and leadership to identify opportunities to transform operations, increase efficiency, and improve customer experience. Lead sourcing events, negotiate with vendors, and develop strategies to minimize risks and maximize value. Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with SLAs. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in IT outsourcing. Monitor and report on outsourcing performance, ensuring continuous improvement. Utilize procurement technology to manage the procurement lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, especially in IT and BPO outsourcing. Proven success in developing category strategies and negotiating contracts. Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Coupa experience is a plus. Compensation The annual base pay ranges from $143,200 to $214,800, based on market analysis and individual performance. Total compensation may include bonuses, incentives, and other rewards.
