Santa Clara County is seeking a dynamic Director to serve as the catalyst for evidence-based, data-driven policy and systems coordination that strengthens early intervention, prevention practices, and trauma-informed care. Key Responsibilities: Policy Leadership:
Develop, implement, and monitor transformational policies and programs for children and families. Cross-Agency Coordination:
Lead multi-disciplinary efforts to align Countywide initiatives and foster partnerships with cities, school districts, and community organizations. Advocacy & Research:
Provide evidence-based recommendations and advocate for legislative changes through strategic collaboration with the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. Management & Oversight:
Direct office operations, manage staff, oversee pilot initiatives, and guide budget and resource assessments. Apply now and help shape a brighter future for our community! Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Psychology, Education, Business, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in directing or overseeing children and families programs in a large organization; experience in education, social work, health, or early childhood development preferred. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation affecting child welfare, education, health, and social justice. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills; ability to build and sustain effective partnerships.
