Whether you're launching a new feature or improving performance, your work will directly impact how New Yorkers buy their food. FreshDirect is owned by the founders of BiTaksi and Getir—companies known for combining operations and technology at scale. Our Istanbul office is a villa in Levent—the same place where Getir began. We offer a focused but fun environment where founders are close by and ideas move fast. You’ll collaborate with our New York team and will visit our New York offices from time to time. VP of Product: We are seeking a passionate and experienced VP, Head of Product Management to lead and mentor our product management team in developing and delivering a seamless customer experience that delights our customers and drives business growth. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from defining the product vision and strategy to execution and launch. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations. We are looking for candidates with an e-commerce grocery/food delivery industry background who have experience and understand the life cycle of the Direct-to-Consumer customer lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Owns the why, what, and when of the product: Develop and own the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and market trends. Lead the product management team in developing and executing product roadmaps, including feature prioritization and requirement definition. Conduct market research and user research to identify customer needs and opportunities related to Food / Grocery delivery. Owns the user experience – internal voice of the user in the pod (product team) and connects business and tech worlds Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, merchandising, and operations, to ensure the successful development and launch of products. Develop launch plans, ensure readiness of the various cross-functional partners. Provide consistent updates to leadership and executives, making communication easy and clear regarding product issues and decisions to be made. Owns the prioritization of requirements and its continuous refinement. Negotiates Yes/No with the business and with the delivery team; empowered to make decisions related to product features, backlog prioritization, release planning. Lead business-critical operational performance indicators and technical metrics, including but not limited customer conversions, basket size, units per order Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to improve product effectiveness. Manage the product budget and resources. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and customers. Lead and mentor the product management team, providing coaching and development opportunities. Experience Qualifications: Extensive experience in digital product lifecycle management, technology build vs buy decision making, and customer-centric innovation. 10+ years of experience in product management, including product roadmap development, execution, feature prioritization and successful feature rollouts. Proven experience in market research and user research to identify customer needs and opportunities related to e-commerce / Omni channel background. Strong background in leveraging analytics to guide strategic decisions, with experience in data science a plus. Experience in understanding customer funnel for DTC products, tracking customer behaviors, and monitoring product performance. Experience in leading product teams in e-commerce grocery / food delivery industry is preferred. Skills And Abilities: Ability to establish and lead digital transformation and drive technology product innovation to deliver operational efficiency. Ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and drive key strategic initiatives. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and drive decisions at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and external stakeholders. Excellent leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams and cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability. Advanced proficiency in leveraging data analytics and business intelligence tools to inform product features and business impact. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various functions. A "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality, with the ability to manage high-level strategy while diving into the details when needed. Seniority level
