JOB SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS Must have a current, valid Concealed Pistol License **Reimbursement for Michigan CPL (Concealed Pistol License) costs available after 6 months of continuous employment as an Armed Security Officer in good standing.** OPENINGS: 3rd shift and 2nd shift Full-Time & Part-Time positions available COMPENSATION: $19.50/hour LOCATION: Alpena, MI SCOPE:
Armed Security Officers protect the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, tenants, and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, and fires. Officers will help secure a critical infrastructure: our military bases. Responsibilities include controlling access at entry/exit points and patrolling grounds by vehicle and foot. This role provides a vital service to the community and nation! PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform foot and vehicle patrols as required by the site. Manage customer relations with clients, residents, and visitors. Control access to authorized personnel only. Monitor CCTV for security concerns. Conduct interior and exterior patrols, identify issues. Respond to emergencies and alarms. Report activities and incidents accurately. Maintain communication with clients and management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: At least 21 years old and a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid Concealed Pistol License or LEOSA certification. Ability to pass drug screening; federal laws prohibit marijuana use. No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanors. Capable of standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods. Good vision (at least 20 feet), with glasses or contacts if needed.
