Position Overview
Luminary Brands is seeking a strategic, analytical, and experienced Sr. Amazon Marketplace Manager to lead our Amazon business across Vendor Central and Seller Central for Andalou Naturals, Mineral Fusion, and The Seaweed Bath Co. This role is responsible for full-channel ownership, with a focus on long-term growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both Amazon platforms, strong business acumen, and working knowledge of Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Ads + DSP). While day-to-day advertising execution is handled by our external agency, this role provides strategic guidance, performance oversight, and cross-functional alignment across digital, brand, operations, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end strategy and performance of Luminary’s Amazon businesses across Vendor Central and Seller Central.
- Act as the internal lead and primary point of contact for Amazon, managing the external agency to deliver on execution and KPIs.
- Define and track annual revenue goals, assortment strategies, and promotional planning to support brand growth and channel profitability.
- Serve as the internal Amazon expert—educating cross-functional partners on best practices, policies, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure catalog health and operational accuracy across all SKUs, including item setup, variation relationships, and suppression troubleshooting.
- Oversee optimization of product pages (titles, bullets, images, A+ content, Brand Stores) to drive conversion and maintain brand consistency.
- Partner with the agency to execute SEO, seasonal content updates, and PDP enhancements that support discoverability and conversion.
Agency & Advertising Oversight
- Lead the relationship with the Amazon agency: set goals, review performance, and align strategy with business priorities.
- Provide strategic guidance on Amazon Sponsored Ads and DSP, with fluency in key metrics including TACoS, ACoS, ROAS, and share of voice.
- Ensure advertising investments are efficient, brand-safe, and aligned to broader marketing objectives and profitability targets.
Promotions, Operations & Compliance
- Own the Amazon promotional calendar, including key tentpoles (Prime Day, holidays), coupons, and Subscribe & Save strategies.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure demand planning accuracy, inventory availability, and FBA performance.
- Coordinate with 3PL partners to resolve compliance issues and reduce chargebacks and vendor deductions.
- Collaborate with Finance to assess margins, track profit levers, and address discrepancies across the channel.
Performance & Reporting
- Track and analyze KPIs across revenue, conversion, ranking, inventory health, Buy Box, and profitability.
- Deliver monthly business reviews with insights and actionable recommendations for continued growth and margin improvement.
- Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark pricing, promotions, and category trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 5 - 7+ years of hands-on experience managing Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central accounts.
- Proven success owning full-funnel Amazon strategy and managing external agency performance.
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon Ads (AMS + DSP); able to guide strategy, challenge assumptions, and interpret advertising results.
- Deep expertise in catalog management, PDP optimization, Brand Store development, and retail readiness best practices.
- Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Amazon tools (Vendor Central, Seller Central, Brand Analytics, etc.).
- Experience in CPG, beauty, wellness, or natural product categories strongly preferred.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- Bonus: Experience using tools such as Helium 10, Profitero, Jungle Scout, or DataHawk.
