Senior IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist / Software Asset Manager
for a 12-month W2 position in Columbia, SC. The role involves managing software assets across large-scale data centers and enterprise environments, supporting licensing needs, and ensuring compliance. Work Arrangement
Fully onsite preferred; hybrid or remote considered W2, 12 months Occasional overtime, travel, on-call, weekends, and off-hours Key Responsibilities
Manage software licensing for large data centers across multiple platforms including Wintel, Mainframe, UNIX Support licensing and consumption data for major vendors like IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe Support licensing scenarios within virtualized environments Communicate effectively with Senior Management and external clients Work with teams on delivery, documentation, and customer service Required Technologies
Excel, SharePoint, JIRA, ServiceNow Experience with IBM and other vendors Preferred Skills
HCL BigFix Inventory, Python, Access, SQL Minimum Experience
5+ years in asset management, procurement, or related fields Job Description
Support the asset lifecycle, implement ITAM policies, analyze inventory data, support hardware/software asset upgrades, and participate in budgeting and cost-saving initiatives. Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Asset Management policies and licensing models Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Work Environment
Adaptable, self-starter, capable of working independently or in teams Fast-paced, dynamic, multi-platform environment, potential 24/7 support Travel to client sites may be required Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or Associate's degree + 2 years experience, or 4 years relevant experience without degree Application Process
