Job Description Salary: DOE About the Job: Lotus Water Engineering is the home for planners and designers passionate about finding multi-benefit, community-driven solutions to water resources and climate change challenges. We are seeking an experienced project engineer to lead our diverse portfolio of green infrastructure design projects. Role: We are looking for an engineer to lead design projects that focus on sustainable water management, resilient design, and green stormwater infrastructure. The candidate should be able to manage their own design and CAD tasks, delegate to junior staff, and be prepared to manage projects as a project engineer. The position is based in our San Francisco office, where you will be mentored by senior engineers and become a key member of our civil/water resources team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading multi-disciplinary civil and water resources design projects under the guidance of a principal or senior engineer; Developing technical design documents, including construction plan sets for waterfront, park, campus, and other site redevelopment projects; Conducting site visits and responding to contractor submittals and RFIs; Developing nature-based stormwater solutions, grading, drainage, and utility design; Supporting hydrologic & hydraulic analyses and stormwater management plans. Qualifications: Required: 6-10 years of experience on site development projects Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Expertise in AutoCAD and plan sheet setup Proficiency with Civil3D modeling software PE license Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Strong initiative and problem-solving skills Preferred: Experience with LID/green infrastructure and water reuse projects Experience with site development projects in the Bay Area Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a water focus Experience with H&H modeling (SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) Knowledge of ArcGIS Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite Lotus Water is an award-winning firm headquartered in downtown San Francisco, committed to technical excellence, creativity, inclusivity, and equitable design.
