The Senior Cloud Architect is responsible for the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud network & cloud computing. The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience. The individual in this role will lead Humana network infrastructure implementation for Google Cloud.
The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) performs technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications for cloud network and cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across technologies. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide strategies. Advises on various areas, programs, or functions, providing recommendations to senior leadership. This role will focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) develops and evaluates cloud network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares analysis of capacity needs, conducts architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies, and develops alternative routing scenarios. Influences department strategy, makes decisions on technical approaches, and performs on-call duties as required. The role involves delivering solutions for Multi-Cloud network connectivity, optimizing performance, resiliency, and resource utilization, and supporting both physical and virtual networking devices in our Multi-Cloud environments, particularly GCP and Azure.
Must be a US Citizen and pass eQIP background check.

Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in a technical or scientific field.
- 5+ years supporting large-scale cloud network infrastructure, with advanced design experience.
- Cloud certifications: Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate.
- Network engineering certification such as CCNA through CCNP.
- 8+ years of technical network engineering experience.
- 5+ years of project leadership experience.
- Extensive Layer 2/Layer 3 network design experience (LAN/WAN).
- Experience with MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Support experience with enterprise cloud, data centers, and remote sites.
- Experience with Cisco equipment, Palo Alto Firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security functions.
- Knowledge of ISP/backbone engineering, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills, ability to present technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with SDN/virtualization technologies like VXLAN, EVPN, Viptela.
- Vendor management experience, familiarity with data center colocation and virtual network fabrics.
- Mentoring peers and contributing to organizational improvement.
- US Citizenship and passing NBIS background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DevOps, CCNP/CCIE certifications, and familiarity with Akamai, ZScaler, ThousandEyes.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture for GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI.
- Knowledge of cloud network security, PaaS/SaaS offerings, and automation scripting (Python, Ansible).
- Experience with SD-WAN, platform processes, and ITIL.
- Master's Degree in a technical field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.

We use HireVue for interviews. Home or hybrid employees must meet internet speed requirements and work in a dedicated, interruption-free space. Occasional travel may be required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: $129,300 - $177,800 per year, with potential bonuses based on performance.
