Purpose of Position
Support of the Housing Program Manager in providing counseling and educational services to clients in accordance with Urban League and HUD requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain contract compliance as required by funders and administration.
- Conduct quality reviews of service delivery, program outcomes, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Train and assist Certified Housing Counselors, financial advisors, and support staff.
- Manage program recruitment, marketing, and community outreach.
- Participate in the writing, preparation, and submitting of grant applications.
- Ensure timely and accurate program reporting.
- Provide Housing Counselor services to clients as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities.
- Working knowledge of grants management, guidelines, and compliance.
- Project management, grants management, budget management, and small business support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound independent judgement.
- Ability and willingness to take direction from senior leadership.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
Education/Experience
Bachelors degree preferred. Two years of experience serving as a HUD Housing Counseling Assistant Program Manager, and three years as a HUD Certified Housing Counselor . Comparable industry experience in mortgage lending, mortgage loan processing, or underwriting will be considered.
