(Hybrid - Atlanta GA or Chicago IL) Job Description Summary Aon is seeking a Senior Investment Actuary within Aon's Delegated Investment Operations Team. The role involves financial monitoring of Aon OCIO’s pension plans for the US and Canada, including liability estimation, asset and liability monitoring, and supporting investment strategy implementation for Aon’s OCIO clients. The position requires pension actuarial experience to understand liability calculations and communicate results to actuarial and investment teams. The candidate will also gain exposure to investment strategy, asset reconciliation, and hedging analytics, with a preference for credentialed actuaries passionate about investment, operations, and database management. Key Responsibilities Conduct annual pension valuations and assess funded status using Aon’s Retirement Risk Analyzer. Analyze and validate liability gains or losses from assumption changes, plan modifications, mergers, spinoffs, annuity purchases, lump sum windows, and plan terminations. Monitor pension plan assets and liabilities to ensure alignment with goals and risk tolerance. Implement investment policies and asset allocations into monitoring platforms to optimize returns and manage risks. Lead communication between investment and actuarial consultants regarding liability valuation and monitoring. Manage onboarding and reporting processes with US and Canadian investment teams. Collaborate with Portfolio Managers on trading activities and hedging analytics. Serve as a subject matter expert on liability attribution and plan status across reporting platforms. Work with technology teams to develop new features and models. Oversee annual liability valuation updates and coordinate project timelines. Manage pension settlement activities and monitoring adjustments. Optimize operational processes and promote automation. Train junior team members and communicate complex concepts clearly. Qualifications 5+ years of pension actuarial experience. ASA or EA designation required. Deep understanding of actuarial principles and pension regulations. Strong mathematical and modeling skills. Canadian or international pension experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, macros; experience with Eagle Pace, Bloomberg, Power BI, databases is a plus.
