Integrator or Senior Integrator About Metropolitan:
Metropolitan Partners Group is a New York-based private investment firm that provides growth capital to small and medium-sized, non-sponsored US businesses. We work directly with management teams to grow their companies and build lasting value through tailored capital solutions of $10 million to $50 million, all while providing downside protection to our LPs. Over our 16-year history, we have completed 160+ investments, deploying more than $3.1 billion in capital to companies across a variety of sectors. Opportunity:
Metropolitan is hiring an Integrator or Senior Integrator, supported by the Senior Vice President and Head of the Operating Expert Network, to lead the execution of internal strategic initiatives that will shape the OE Network 2.0, which will serve as the core foundation for Metropolitan's ONE Platform. This function is central to how we scale the value of our Operating Expert (OE) network and build the internal infrastructure that powers proprietary sourcing, enhanced due diligence, portfolio company monitoring and enablement, sector intelligence, exit maximization, and relationship-driven investing. As we continue to grow, we are investing in systems and processes to enable better interoperability, knowledge sharing, and insight capture across teams. The Integrator will work directly with senior leadership to drive these initiatives forward, owning project management, tooling, cross-functional workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and AI-enabled automation, including the development of our Agentic AI team. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing the internal “engine” behind how we engage with experts, manage data, and generate sector-level insight— transforming a valuable network into a durable and scalable strategic advantage. The role involves working across investment, research, and asset management teams to ensure strong alignment and integration of the OE network into daily workflows, cross-functional processes, strategic planning, and firm-wide business rhythm. This is a newly created position that offers the opportunity to work closely with a seasoned operator and brilliant colleagues, providing both leverage and leadership as the firm builds toward its next chapter. Requirements:
We are seeking an exceptional internal operator with a passion for building systems, driving strategic projects, and creating impact through process, tools, and emerging technologies. This person thrives in ambiguity but brings clarity through structured thinking, disciplined execution, and strong communication. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of managing complex internal initiatives from ideation through implementation, particularly in areas like workflow design, process improvement, cross-functional alignment, and tool integration. They will be fluent in modern project management platforms (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Notion), comfortable driving outcomes without direct authority, and excited by the opportunity to explore and implement AI tooling and prompt engineering in a business context. They must be able to collaborate effectively across functions, keep stakeholders aligned, and hold others accountable to operational excellence, while also offering the strategic foresight to anticipate risks, dependencies, and points of friction. They will have the presence, professionalism, and attention to detail to represent the SVP internally and build confidence across the executive team. This person should be equally comfortable drafting a process doc, writing a prompt, or debugging an integration workflow. The role also requires someone who can operate independently, prioritize ruthlessly, and proactively uncover and solve operational bottlenecks before they become issues. The right candidate will be energized by solving messy problems, creating scalable systems, and contributing meaningfully to the strategic infrastructure of a growing investment platform. They should expect to work across every function of the firm — including investment, research, asset management, compliance, and operations — and to lead multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment. While some limited travel may be required, the role's focus is internal execution, and flexibility in work hours may occasionally be necessary to meet firm-wide needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead internal strategic initiatives that will scale and transform the Operating Expert (OE) network into the ONE platform, working directly with the SVP to translate this ambitious vision into structured execution across teams and systems. Own complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion — including scoping, stakeholder alignment, timeline management, risk mitigation, and post-project analysis. Build and maintain internal systems that serve as the foundation for OE network management, including CRMs, dashboards, databases, scoring frameworks, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp). Develop and implement repeatable workflows, SOPs, and best practices to enable efficient onboarding, segmentation, engagement, and reactivation of sector experts and ecosystem partners across multiple touchpoints. Architect and evolve the ONE (Operating Network & Ecosystem) platform — Met's strategic platform that unites exceptional operators, functional experts, and key ecosystem partners (M&A advisory firms, investment banks, law firms, accounting firms, and other investors) to deliver measurable value creation from sourcing through exit. Identify opportunities to integrate AI and automation into internal workflows — including prompt design, summarization of qualitative data, low-code automations, and interoperability across tools and systems. Collaborate closely with investment, asset management, research, and compliance teams to ensure OE-related insights and relationships are embedded into sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support workflows, while simultaneously contributing to and building Met’s central intelligence hub Create internal strategy decks, memos, reporting cadences, and updates that synthesize ONE performance, strategic value, and operational milestones for firm leadership, including comprehensive metrics on both internal and external ROI and the quantifiable enterprise value created through ONE. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of the ONE platform, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with strategic goals. Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between cross-functional teams through structured documentation, training sessions, and regular updates on project progress. Design and refine a tiered scoring system for OE segmentation — capturing relationship strength, historical value-add (e.g., deal origination, diligence support), sector connectivity, and functional expertise. Serve as the operational bridge between vision and execution — keeping initiatives moving forward while building the systems and workflows. 5–8+ years of relevant experience in project management, business operations, product ops, systems implementation, or Integrator-Chief of Staff–style roles Proven ability to lead and execute cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight, often in fast-paced or high-growth environments Strong fluency in workflow/project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Notion), ability to build and execute scripts, and willingness to own system configuration, rollout, and adoption Natural builder and process designer — able to create structure out of ambiguity and optimize for scalability and repeatability Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience with AI tooling (e.g., prompt engineering, OpenAI, Notion AI, Zapier, etc.) with a commitment to continually refining AI tradecraft and honing these emerging capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including synthesizing complex information and building executive-ready materials High degree of commercial awareness; understands how systems and workflows affect sourcing, execution, and strategic outcomes Strong research and analytical skills — capable of generating insights to guide strategic decisions and improve internal operations Comfortable working across multiple departments and functions, with the ability to influence without authority Adaptable, resourceful, and action-oriented; thrives in ambiguous or evolving environments and can juggle multiple priorities Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and comfort managing both strategic work and executional details Experience with CRMs or data tools (e.g., Airtable, HubSpot, Salesforce); knowledge of investment-related tools like DealCloud is a plus Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus, but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notion, Airtable, or similar systems $175,000-$200,000 base salary + additional performance bonus Full medical, vision, and dental insurance with premiums 100% covered by Metropolitan 401K program and match Location:
