Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Senior Civil Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater:
#1. BS in Civil Engineering, AZ Professional Engineer's license or ability to quickly obtain AZ professional engineer registration.
#2. Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Water/Wastewater related design.
#3. Relevant experience shall include design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans.
Responsibilities of the Senior Civil Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater:
The ideal Senior Civil Project Engineer will participate in the technical design necessary for overall project completion and assure a high level of quality in design and client service with a heavy emphasis placed on providing value to our clients.
Requirements of the Senior Civil Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater:
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and either a current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or the ability to obtain one promptly. At least 8 years of experience with increasing responsibility in designing water and wastewater systems. Expertise in areas such as treatment plant designs, collection system layouts, booster stations, pumping stations, and preparation of water and wastewater master plans. Proven experience in fostering a collaborative team environment and providing leadership. Strong skills in project planning, task organization, technical supervision, client engagement, and meeting project goals. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, actively listen, and articulate ideas effectively. Ability to manage tasks independently, showing strong organizational capabilities and minimal reliance on supervision. Familiarity with and technical proficiency in commonly used software tools in the water/wastewater engineering field. Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards in all project work. Skill in identifying critical milestones for project success and proactively planning to meet them. Other Key Requirements:
