Position Overview
We are seeking an intellectually curious, passionate and skilled researcher for the role of Manager of Insights & Analytics to support our strategy consulting teams in uncovering and applying new, game changing insights. This role is responsible for direct, hands-on qualitative and quantitative research design, data analysis and visualization. It includes directly designing, deploying and analyzing research along with advising other junior members of our project teams as they conduct research and analysis. This role also includes helping to build overall organizational research capabilities and increasing our knowledge base. The manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring impactful project delivery that delights clients and assisting in new business efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Conduct data/ statistical analysis in situations where the analytic skills and experience needed exceed the capabilities of consulting team members
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks, researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry and technical matters, utilizing problem-solving skills, and communicating effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences (including various levels of management and external clients) in a professional business environment
- Enable high quality delivery by conducting thorough quality assurance and data integrity checks throughout the process
- Translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable implications for clients
Project Team Support
- Serve as an internal project team advisor, providing recommendations on research design, analysis and visualization, and support overall project success
- Support research and analysis conducted by project team members (Business Analysts, Associates, etc.) to ensure workstreams adhere to Seurat process guidelines and industry best practices
- Coach and collaborate with team members directly involved with project insight workstreams, including providing feedback and guidance on work performance
Capability Development
- Contribute to firm and team member growth by supporting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team
- Provide training and tools to enhance the team’s capabilities in research, analytics, and strategic consulting
- Actively curate the collection of Seurat best practices, resources and tools for research and analysis
- Drive methodological innovation and best practices in research and insights to maintain a competitive edge
- Regularly communicate with the organization regarding insight solutions as part of efforts to improve how Seurat does its work
Business Development Support
- Contribute to the growth and profitability of the firm by supporting Engagement Managers, Principals and Partners in providing thought leadership on the optimal analytic/ research approach to address needs identified as part of business development efforts
- Help develop new, creative insight solutions to address needs that are ‘new to Seurat’ in response to proposal requests
- Support creation and packaging of insight capabilities that can be featured as part of potential client outreach efforts
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in consumer insights and market research on the agency side, with a strong focus on Consumer Packaged Goods
- Deep expertise in research methodologies
- Exceptional analytical skills including strong statistical modelling capabilities
- Experience working with a wide range of analytic and research data sources and tools
- Thrive in a team based work environment
