Job Description
Position Summary
Warehouse Supervisor position will manage day-to-day operations of the team members, ensuring safety of employees, the quality and on-time delivery of products/work orders, the development of employee skills, continuous improvement/problem-solving competency, and implementation of continuous improvement in all aspects of operational and cost performance to support business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervising warehouse staff in day-to-day operations.
- Supervising, evaluating, auditing, and reporting on warehouse productivity, employees' performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Audit orders, bills, items received, inventory, deliveries, and shipments for accuracy.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Manage kitting processes for Assembly and Mold Shop needs.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and carriers.
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
- Ordering warehouse supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Assist in managing and implementation of the cycle count program.
- Work with Quality Department on part dispositions and corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
- Problem-solving skills.
