The Worldwide Innovation and Design team is seeking a Simulation Engineer to lead discrete-event simulations for our Last Mile (AMZL) network technologies. We offer the opportunity to shape the future of automation through digital experimentation while working with world-class engineering teams. Key responsibilities include leading the creation of complex discrete-event simulations to validate new technologies, utilizing simulation software like FlexSim and Emulate 3D, and influencing design decisions through data-driven insights. The role involves collaboration with hardware engineers, programming, and analysis to optimize processes involving robotics, AGVs, conveyors, and storage systems. Qualifications include experience with scientific principles applied to business problems, data analysis, a Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields, familiarity with Discrete Event Simulation, and experience with process simulation tools (preferably FlexSim). Additional skills in scripting languages, programming, and simulation tools are preferred.
