Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A.A./A.S. or relevant license/certification in Community Health, Public Health, or Nutrition/Food Science, or Education field preferred. SERV Safe Manager certification preferred (or required within 3 months of start date). Registered Dietitian preferred. Two (2) years of relevant supervisory or management experience, preferred. Experience with the methods, procedures, and equipment involved in large scale food preparation. Experience with health and safety hazards in institutional/large-scale food preparation and the necessary safety precautions. Experience with Invoicing, bookkeeping, and basic Grant Reporting. Some knowledge of the basic principles and practices of Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Science. Must maintain a valid, unrestricted California Driver’s license and ability to be insurable under SCIHP’s automobile insurance and be able to meet insurance requirements regarding driver record to utilize GSA vehicles. Possess current CPR certification. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation. Must show proof of completed COVID 19 vaccinations and booster. Plus annual flu vaccination.
