The position of Ready-Mix Concrete Batchman will be responsible for the operation of the assigned batch plant with specific responsibilities relating to the plant's service area while maintaining a safety-first attitude This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, TCEQ etc Establish a culture that supports safety and conducts regular safety meetings Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company regulatory policies and procedures Ensures plant is open and ready for operation on time daily and is capable of maximum production Ensures trucks are properly maintained by drivers, including pre and post trip inspections, tire pressure and cleanliness Coordinate maintenance projects, service work, and repairs to ensure proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment so that costs and downtime are minimized, and all equipment is available when needed Ensures material inventory are at manageable levels and inspects materials for contamination and/or gradation issues Ensures utilization of company processes for reporting, monitoring and tracking of production and maintenance activities Monitors batching operations for quality and efficiency Strong knowledge of ingredients and additive measures in concrete
