3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Software Engineer in Test III is responsible for developing and maintaining software automation test frameworks and tools using programming languages and test automation libraries. Primary responsibilities include supporting the test infrastructure of Natera software systems and components; designing, building, and maintaining data-driven test automation tools and frameworks using clean coding practices and functional programming methodologies; performing debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects; performing system analysis, assessing risk, and developing strong test strategies by analyzing product design and technical specifications, and by collaborating with product managers and developers; integrating with deployment infrastructure to establish a continuous build and test cycle; performing test environment set up and configuration; evangelizing new testing methodologies, best practices and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through automation; reporting, documenting, and communicating failures discovered through testing with the affected teams; and working closely with developers in all phases of SDLC to build quality into the development process. Qualifications include minimum of 3 years of experience developing test automation frameworks and harnesses using programming and scripting languages, BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include strong knowledge of Java, Scala; recent hands-on experience with front-end test automation tools and libraries such as Selenium, TestNG, Junit, ScalaTest, Gatling; strong working knowledge of relational databases and SQL; strong knowledge of Linux and command line shell scripting; solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases; familiarity with message-driven architecture and REST interfaces; experience in FDA (or equivalent) regulated environments is a plus; experience in biotech, healthcare IT, or life sciences is a plus. The pay range is $103,700 - $129,700 USD in San Carlos, CA, with actual compensation packages based on factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, certifications, and office location.
