Job Title:
Salesforce Billing - Solution Architect
The Solution Architect serves as a subject matter expert on Salesforce Billing projects, responsible for client delivery, proposals, new business opportunities, and knowledge management. The Solution Architect works closely with the Product Owner and Technical Architect to understand requirements and enable the development of quality solutions that meet the requirements.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical leader for Salesforce Billing projects onsite at client locations
Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that leverage the Salesforce Billing platform
Provide detailed effort estimates for proposed solutions and communicate benefits and risks
Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers
Stay updated on new Salesforce product and technical capabilities
Support sales efforts with technical expertise and proof of concepts
Participate in marketing events and client presentations
Demonstrate thought leadership through publishing and speaking engagements
Coach and mentor junior team members
Lead or participate in technical discussions and design workshops
Create high-level architecture diagrams understandable to technical and business audiences
Optimize product configurations to meet billing requirements
Provide guidance on billing strategies
Act as solution owner, ensuring project scope and outcomes are on track
Interview candidates
Travel up to 50%
Qualifications
7+ years of CRM industry experience and/or CPQ / Billing implementation experience
2+ successful Salesforce Billing implementations
Understanding of Salesforce CPQ and its relation to Salesforce Billing
Minimum 3 years of Salesforce platform experience (4+ preferred)
Deep understanding of data models and product/pricing master data management
Knowledge of the full billing cycle including invoicing, payment gateways, revenue recognition, and ERP integration
Experience in B2B or B2C E-Commerce is highly desirable
Excellent client-facing communication skills
Experience as a Solution Architect on at least 3 projects lasting 6+ months
Active Salesforce certifications or ability to obtain them within the first few months

Compensation And Benefits

The salary range for this role is $122,000 - $225,000 for Principal Architect and $140,000 - $258,000 for Senior Delivery Principal Architect, plus potential bonuses. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location.
