Your Opportunity
We specialize in Transit Facility design across California and North America, including bus and rail stations, maintenance facilities, multimodal transit centers, BRT, and park-and-ride facilities. Our focus is on highly sustainable buildings and environments, delivering transformational design solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration. We seek a
SENIOR ARCHITECT
to lead transit, infrastructure, and civic projects in the SF Bay Area and Northern California. You will work with senior leadership to develop fiscally responsible, award-winning designs, manage client relationships, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage complex projects and lead project teams effectively.
Support business development efforts through proposal responses and client engagement.
Oversee project planning, organization, and delivery to meet client expectations.
Ensure designs meet budgets, schedules, and design intent.
Negotiate project agreements and develop project budgets and schedules.
Cultivate client relationships and provide strategic input to leadership.
Mentor staff and coordinate project meetings and reviews.
Manage change orders, payments, and contractual modifications.
Assist in staffing decisions and manage invoicing and collections.
Qualifications
Extensive project experience and ability to support project acquisition.
Proven relationships with SF Bay Area transit agencies.
Knowledge of accessibility, life-safety codes, building systems, and standards.
Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, MS Project, and related software.
Understanding of architectural and engineering systems; experience with design/build and LEAN practices preferred.
California architectural license or ability to attain within one year; LEED AP preferred.
Education and Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience, graduate of an accredited architectural school, and licensed in California or eligible to become licensed within a year.
