Hours: Three to Seven Days/Week, approximately 30 minutes per day.
KISL 88.7 FM in Avalon, CA (www.kislavalon.com) seeks a motivated, articulate Sports Intern to file daily updates on local sports for broadcast. The Sports Intern will research Southern California sporting events using internet resources, create an informative and entertaining 60-120 second audio report, and upload to our station computer for broadcast. The audio reports can be created on a smartphone or on a desktop/laptop computer. The intern does not need to live on Catalina Island and may work from anywhere in the United States. Familiarity with Catalina Island and Avalon is a plus. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person to gain actual on-air experience as a sportscaster.
This is an unpaid internship.
