As a key member of the Data Privacy Office in Regeneron's Law Department, the Sr. Director, AGC Privacy Counsel will report to and partner with the Chief Privacy Officer. This role involves developing and executing innovative data-driven strategies in compliance with data privacy laws, supporting Regeneron's global expansion, and leading privacy governance initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing advice on privacy issues related to patient support, marketing, digital advertising, data analytics, and AI.
- Assessing privacy risks and implementing controls for new projects.
- Supporting compliance with global privacy laws.
- Managing privacy governance, policies, and procedures.
- Leading Privacy Office resources and external counsel.
- Training and educating business units on privacy matters.
- Collaborating on legislative influence with Government Affairs.
Qualifications:
- JD and licensure to practice law in New York (or eligibility).
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 in privacy.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of global privacy laws and emerging tech risks.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work onsite 4 days/week at Sleepy Hollow, NY.
