The Sales Director - Walmart Team will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Walmart and Sam's Club business. This includes developing and executing consumer and shopper-driven strategic business plans, managing a high-performing sales, analytics, and replenishment team, and building strong relationships with Walmart stakeholders. Key success in this role is to develop and optimize business plans and forecasts, develop fully integrates sales, marketing, and digital initiatives with a goal of attaining topline sales while managing the customer P&L. This role is pivotal in scaling our brand presence and delivering exceptional results in the mass retail channel.
Job Description:
Essential Functions: Lead and manage the Walmart and Club channel strategy Develop and execute annual strategic business plans with Walmart merchants Own P&L responsibility for the Walmart business, including forecasting, trade spend, WMC, and profitability Build and lead a cross-functional team including account managers, analysts, replenishment specialists, and internal partners Collaborate with internal teams (Retail Engagement, Dot Com, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Development) to ensure alignment on retail initiatives Drive new item launches, promotional planning, and in-store execution while optimizing spending Leverage data and insights to optimize assortment, pricing, and shelf strategy Represent the brand in key meetings with Walmart executives and buyers Serve as primary team leader with the customer and sales/marketing teams, building and leveraging relationships across functional counterparts Define short and long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, and identify business opportunities within the customer base. Create and deliver a compelling brand/category story for the customer to sell-in new opportunities Train & lead account managers to sell, implement, and evaluate business plans to meet or exceed financial objectives Lead the team that works with sales, marketing, and Supply chain teams to forecast and plan existing base, display, and new business opportunities Accurately forecast the business and proactively alert HQ of major shifts in the business
Qualifications 10+ years of sales experience in CPG, with at least 5 years managing Walmart accounts Deep understanding of Walmart's systems, culture, and retail landscape Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing large P&Ls Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities Familiarity with Walmart Retail Link, Sentilla- report builder (Luminate), and syndicated data tools Passion for beauty, wellness, and innovation Preferred Experience: An MBA or an advanced degree is a plus
