Job Summary
The Commercial Credit Analyst II is accountable for underwriting and monitoring a portfolio of commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial and industrial (C&I) loans ranging in $1,000,000 to $50,000,000 in size. The portfolio may include owner occupied and/or investor commercial real estate loans. The Analyst will partner with Commercial Lenders to propose and negotiate lending solutions on new opportunities and underwriter credit risk. The Analyst is also responsible for determining the credit worthiness of members/borrowers and recommending credit decisions, monitoring portfolio credit relationships for covenant compliance, collateral monitoring, and credit deterioration, as applicable. Keeps apprised of industry related issues to analyze and determine their impact on specific industries, members or Wings C&I portfolios.

Essential Functions
Propose Lending Solutions and Underwrite Credit Risk
- Supports the loan decision-making process by providing quality, in-depth credit analysis for moderate to complex commercial and industrial (C&I) as well as owner occupied and/or investor commercial real estate (CRE) loans.
- Develops thorough understanding of customer financial needs and project feasibility. Works collaboratively with Lenders to develop a plan of action for loan structure, monitoring, and servicing of loan relationship.
- Performs financial analysis including forecasting and sensitivity analysis to assist in determining borrower capacity to repay debt.
- Writes professional credit narratives and performs risk assessments of products, policy, structure, terms, and customer/sponsor financial strength with minimal to moderate guidance/feedback.
- Independently grades all credits in accordance with Wings credit classification system.
- Solid financial and accounting background. Knowledgeable with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the approval process and support Lenders in addressing questions on submitted requests.
- Work with Lenders and Loan Servicing Specialists to obtain relationship monitoring information necessary to perform trend analysis, annual reviews, and/or monitor covenant compliance.
- Complete quarterly/annual reviews and renewals within required timeframes.
- Responsible for ongoing proactive identification and monitoring of risk ratings for members/borrowers.
- Develop and maintain necessary industry knowledge.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Completes required bank training courses on time.
- May make joint customer calls with Lender to assess member needs, business, and management team.
- Participate in team meetings by sharing knowledge, providing insight, contributions, and feedback.
- Be a resource for other Wings team members.
- Participate in sales, pipeline, and production meetings as requested.
- Serve on specific project teams and perform other duties as requested.
- Continuing education and networking throughout the year to gather knowledge of changing industry trends that impact risk to Wings and members/borrowers.
- Complete all applicable compliance training and/or sales tutorials within established timelines.
- Attend Business Loan Review Committee meetings to assist commercial lenders with new credit request presentations and annual credit reviews.
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a previous credit analyst/underwriter position.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with commercial and industrial loans and commercial real estate loans and at least 1 year of exposure to commercial lending.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial loan documentation, banking laws, and regulation.
- Strong problem-solving ability with good analytical skills.
- Professional customer service skills with strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Self-Starter with established ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Pay Range: $65k-$85k plus 10% annual target bonus. The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
