Responsibilities
Developing project scope including P&ID development and equipment selection Collection and presentation of key data/information Detailed engineering calculations Technical specifications & datasheets Calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews Technical evaluation of bids Recommendation of best value design which meets client requirements for operability, reliability, maintainability and safety Assistance in field work, checking installations, and problem-solving activities Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required PE Certification desired Advanced degree a plus Active participation in professional organizations a plus At least 10+ years’ experience with boilers, pumps, exchangers and pressure vessels Project lead experience developing engineering schedules, budgets and forecasts Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clients Working knowledge of or familiarity with: Microsoft Office products including MS Project AutoCAD and 3-D CAD a plus Mechanical Engineering design tools and calculations (PV Elite, Navisworks, Caesar, NozzlePro) Industry Standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, PIP Why Nexus?
