The 61st Street Service Corporation provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties.
Job Summary:
The Medical Secretary will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of a high volume practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical cases and secure the operating room.
- Maintain, manage, and distribute physician schedules to the practice, clinic staff, and administration.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
- Schedule appointments, office visits, ancillary services, surgical cases and academic activities.
- Secure proper referrals, pre-authorizations/pre-certifications, procedures and surgical cases; verify all insurance eligibility.
- Scan patient records and other medical information in appropriate EMR; obtain physician authorization to release medical records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Hourly Rate Ranges:
$20.91 - $34.62
Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
