2024-25 SY CERTIFICATED SUBSTITUTE COUNSELOR Puyallup School District is seeking qualified school counselor applicants with skills, abilities, and willingness to provide school counselor support to our district's schools/departments. Substitute School Counselors provide coverage for absent Counselors throughout the school district. Position Hours/Days/Location:
At-Will/On-call, based on the 2024-25 SY Calendar and placed district wide Position Benefits:

2024-25 Certificated Substitute Rate of Pay Full Day: Greater than 3.75 Hours
$196.66
Half Day: Less than 3.75 Hours
$98.33
Essential Functions: Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree
from an accredited college or University (Verifiable per unofficial Transcripts) -
Documentation MUST be uploaded Current
Washington StateEducational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate, with appropriate endorsement(s)-
Documentation MUST be uploaded
OR; have the ability to obtain a Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate
Experience working with children in an instructional counseling capacity Ability and desire to work on a constant basis -
minimum 1 time a month Clearances:
Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance Other Information:
This Substitute position is screened by the Substitute Services Office ~ SubServices@puyallupsd.org ~ 253.435.6921 Selected Applicants will be contacted by Human Resources and will be required to complete the Substitute Onboarding Process, which includes;
Onboarding Paperwork Official College Transcripts (BA Minimum) sent directly from the college/university Substitute Online Orientation Substitute Onboarding Appointment (Includes scanning of fingerprints)
