Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on complex heavy civil projects. This role involves managing crews, subcontractors, and site logistics to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Projects may include excavation, grading, underground utilities, structural concrete, bridge construction, and asphalt/concrete paving.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate field activities and crew performance Ensure safety compliance and promote a culture of safety on-site Maintain project schedule and coordinate subcontractor work Oversee quality control and project documentation Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and inspectors Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction supervision Proven experience with excavation, underground utilities, concrete, or bridge work Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and project schedules Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in project management tools and daily reporting software (e.g., Procore, HCSS, or similar) OSHA 30 certification preferred Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
