Job Title: Technical Training & Service Specialist
Location: Warrendale, PA
Department: Service & Support
Reports to: VP of Service
Travel Requirement: Approximately 2040% (variable based on service demand)
Job Summary
The Technical Training & Service Specialist is a hybrid role responsible for training both Sepro America's internal technical team and external customers on the use and maintenance of Sepro robotic systems, while also providing high-quality service support. This position is based primarily at the Warrendale office and plays a pivotal role in elevating technical competencies across the service organization and customer base, while remaining actively involved in field operations during periods of high demand.
Key Responsibilities
Internal & Customer Technical Training (6070%)
- Develop, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for both internal Service Technicians and external customers who operate Sepro robotic systems.
- Create structured training documentation, including SOPs, manuals, assessments, and hands-on exercises.
- Lead classroom instruction and practical training sessions in the Sepro lab/training center or at customer sites.
- Conduct skills assessments and coordinate certification milestones.
- Align curriculum with updates in Sepro product lines, common field challenges, and customer-specific use cases.
Field Service Support (3040%)
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Sepro robotic systems at customer sites.
- Perform diagnostics using electrical schematics, PLC interfaces, and robotic control systems.
- Complete detailed service reports and document modifications or updates made in the field.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 35 years' experience in robotics automation, service, or technical instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor technical personnel.
- Strong skills in electrical diagnostics, PLC programming, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment, bend frequently, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in instructional design or a train-the-trainer program.
- Familiarity with e-learning tools and content development.
- Bilingual in English/French or English/Spanish a plus.
