JR286 We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Senior Graphic/Technical Designer to join our team with a focus on baseball promo products in Beaverton, OR or Torrance, CA. This role owns color and graphic execution across gloves, protective gear, and accessories, using CAD and art skills to bring designs to life. You will also support the design of inline performance products, crafting custom colorways and compelling graphics for Sports Marketing. While rooted in baseball, this role may support other sports. The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker with a keen eye for trends, color, and storytelling—comfortable collaborating across teams and managing projects from concept through execution. **Please include a digital portfolio in the Documents tab or include a link to your online portfolio in the Links tab of your application.** What You’ll Do: Own part of Promo/Sports Marketing Design with category teammates by executing Design briefs/requests on calendar. Design inline Performance soft goods such as gloves and accessories for the performance baseball/football/golf categories. Collaborate with Design Lead to develop seasonal creative strategies for graphics that align with brand direction. Create original, on-brand graphics across all product categories needed, with a focus on Performance Sports (Football/Baseball/Basketball/Golf). Design inline products that balance in the performance space that include soft goods innovation, function, and aesthetic appeal. Translate trend research, consumer insights, and brand DNA into compelling product designs and visual narratives. Work closely with Design Lead to design, prepare detailed tech packs, specifications, and presentation materials for Performance Sports. Contribute to color, material, and finish (CMF) direction and product storytelling. Participate in design reviews and present work to internal stakeholders with clarity and confidence. Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and contractors as needed. Work with Design Lead and gather/interpret insights from athletes and trend/market research. Collaborate with Promo team for in-depth meetings and training on any cross-functional category initiatives that are essential to the Promo categories. Partner and maintain regular communication with cross-functional triad members in Design, Development and Product Line Management (PLM) groups to ensure design commerciality and strict adherence to targeted price points and product creation timelines. Must have a proactive, independent decision-making state of mind. Be flexible with multiple season deadlines and ability to juggle multiple SKUs. Create and coordinate graphic implementation at each stage of the product process (internal and external) with Design Lead: Concept design review, prototype/sample review, line finalization, approval process. Attend inline Center of Excellence (COE) and Promo Meetings for assigned categories to understand the inline product that will come into Promo (Football/Baseball/Golf/Basketball). Attend weekly PLM Tracker meetings for Football/Baseball/Golf/Basketball and any other categories that may come into the Promo line. Other duties as assigned. What to Bring: 7+ years related Product Design/Industrial Design in the sports industry or similar. Degree (BFA/BA/BS) in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related design education preferred. Demonstrate an advanced understanding of design and project storytelling. Strong sketching/rendering skills in a mix of mediums including rapid Ideation, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Sketchbook. Expert working knowledge of Adobe CS and Microsoft Office programs. Extensive knowledge of technical materials, construction methods and manufacturing processes for both hard goods and soft goods. Ability to function independently or with other team members in a group setting. Serve as a positive force for the betterment of all team members. Knowledge of any of the following programs are a plus: SolidWorks, Rhino, Maya 3D, Fusion 360. Capable of operating in a fast paced, dynamic, and evolving environment. Meticulous, self-driven and highly strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy communicating with all teammates. Ability to work effectively in a team. Additionally: The position is located in Beaverton, Oregon at Nike World Headquarters or Torrance, California at JR286 World Headquarters. Domestic travel (to or from Beaverton or Torrance) is required up to four times per year.
