Akkodis is partnering with a company focused on industrial solutions and automation to hire a Scale Technician. If you're a HVAC/electrical crew member used to going to client sites or a former industrial technician at a plant, this could be a great match! The company will pay for CDL B training and license.
- PLC knowledge, controls, reading schematics.
- 50% of the role is routine calibration checks - preventative maintenance, going to a client site and slinging weights (50 lb, 100 lb) onto a scale to test, inspect, measure, and calibrate. Very physical role. Will have to make adjustments to the scales, electrical and mechanical, to adjust.
- 40% of the role is handling breakdowns - Troubleshooting, changing out the loads, some PLCs, changing motors, valves and pumps, controls.
- Will need to be on call for clients, and up to 25% travel
- Very physical role, lots of heavy lifting
- CDL B license and welding experience preferred
