The Housekeeping Attendant tends to the cleanliness of the guest’s suites and other hotel areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Satisfying guests needs and exceeding guest’s expectations are your number one priority.
- Projecting a positive hotel image.
- Attending the daily housekeeping briefings.
- Cleaning guest suites daily occupied suites, suites for arriving/departing guests.
- Taking care of the minibar operation.
- Ensuring that all corridors, housekeeper’s pantries and janitor’s pantries are always in an impeccable condition.
- Ordering sufficient linen and guest supplies for the pantries-see agreed par stock.
- Taking daily the status report of all suites.
- Answering guest requests immediately.
- Answering all phone calls within 3 rings in a friendly and prompt manner.
- Collecting and distributing guest laundry.
- Laundry duties include all property linens, employee uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Ironing guest clothes as requested.
- Cleaning any other areas in the hotel as instructed by the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Assistant Manager.
- Reporting missing or damaged items.
- Reporting lost and found items.
- Maintaining a clean & neat area of operation.
- Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform.
- Wearing a nametag at all times.
- Complying with all Amangiri policies and procedures.
- Assisting GM and AGM in times of need.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Oral proficiency in the English language.
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Sensitive to cultural nuances.
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment.
- Ability to work together with other colleagues and maintain professional working relationships. Any relationships that could potentially pose a conflict of interest should be disclosed to HR and may require a written disclosure.
- Multi-lingual is a plus.
