Position: Career Services Specialist
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Career Services Specialist advises participants on vocational career goals, develops employment opportunities, and assists in placing participants in unsubsidized jobs.

Major Responsibilities Requisite training, experience, and abilities include:
Knowledge of San Diego vocational training programs, employment market, vocational assessment testing, job development and placement methods, and interviewing techniques.
Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
Ability to compile and analyze data, maintain records, and prepare reports.
Assist participants in developing resumes and career objectives.
Administer and interpret assessment instruments.
Qualifications Varies upon the position.

Special Instructions to Applicants Conditions of Employment: The selected candidate must:
Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment, renewed every 4 years.
Have fingerprints taken via Live Scan at the district’s expense, with clearance received prior to employment.
Present original documents proving eligibility to work in the United States.
