Overview
The purpose of the Receptionist is to manage Guitar Center's front desk, routing phone calls and greeting guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Answer and route calls and messages using a two line-telephone
- Greet, screen, and sign in visitors; contact appropriate person and/or department via telephone or Teams
- Occasionally arrive by 7:50 a.m. to receive and check-in visitors with 8:00 a.m. appointments
- Assist HR with New Hire candidates on first day of employment. Assist with I9 documentation, and other logs and data files as assigned by HR coordinator.
- Create ID badges for new hires, temporary employees, and lost badges
- Receive and route customer calls courteously
- Communicate effectively with all GC departments, stores, customers, and associates via email and phone.
- Support Executive Assistant Team with assigned projects, tasks and duties as assigned; such as ordering stationery supplies and stocking supply rooms, assisting with photo copier maintenance, executive lunch meetings, etc.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience required, preferably as a receptionist or administrative assistant
- 1 year of customer service support
- Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Teams
- Working knowledge of filing methods used in storing, retrieving and updating records, ability to file in alphabetical and numerical order

Pay Rate: $18.00- $20.00/hr depending on background and experience.
