JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Sr. Engineering Program Manager in FG, Sunnyvale, office, to handle new product development (NPI) of consumer electronic acoustic products.
This is a Senior level position, responsible for overall coordination between a US-based customer and FG teams. You will interact with customer engineering team daily, and responsible for driving schedules and deliverables from FG factory team in Taiwan/China/VN, from project kick-off to mass production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Project coordination: champions and supports customer engineering group’s specific needs and requirements.
· Interacts with customers: assesses customer needs regarding priorities, deadlines, and quantities. Drive factory for on time deliverables.
· Schedules and monitors all NPI activities, from design kick-off, tooling, engineering builds through mass production.
· Maintains documentation of customer communication, processing data, and other pertinent product information.
· ENG Quotation: sample costs, fixture costs, tooling costs, test costs, etc., during NPI engineering builds.
· Assists development with new process or materials as requested.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS:
· BS degree, Engineering major preferred.
· Minimum of seven years of program management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is needed.
· Must have experience with working in a consumer electronics industry.
· Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
· Working knowledge of basic manufacturing techniques – tooling, injection molding, metal stamping, assembly and testing.
· Working knowledge of production and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing environment
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
· Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with a wide range of individuals from varying economic, social, and educational backgrounds in a manufacturing environment.
